The good: - quick access to highway - very comfortable rooms - service is very good - very limited food options onsite but decent food - supermarket is about a 5 minute drive away. I needed to rent a car anyways - limited food options - no restaurants close by - the biggest negative was the internet. It was extremely slow which made working extremely challenging I have stayed there several times over the years and would stay there again.

We acknowledge your concerns regarding the lack of an airport shuttle, limited food options, and slow internet. While we do not offer an airport shuttle, we do provide on-site parking spaces and 3 e-charging stations for guests who prefer to rent a car. As for the food options, our Quecke restaurant serves a variety of French and Mediterranean dishes, and we are continuously working to improve our menu.

Dennis M When I first booked this hotel, the Accor web portal changed my dates of check-in and check-out by two months earlier. I did not notice this malfunction until I got the email from Accor Group. I immediately had to cancel and Accor stated that I had to pay for the action of their horrible portal.
I rebooked for the proper dates and my credit card statement had the two charges. I contacted the card issuer to dispute the initial charge and get a chargeback to Accor Group. Today I received a threatening email from some esel at Accor who was demanding extra fees on top of the initial malfeasance charge. The Mercure Hotel Dusseldorf despite having airport in its name is actually further away from the airport than the other city locations and invoked a 45 euro fare for the taxi in the middle of nowhere.
The Hotel claimed to have air conditioned rooms but there was only one room in the entire hotel building that had an air conditioner. It was a hot and humid night in Germany and my wife had to beg for to be switched to the only hotel room with an air conditioner. Only Accor is capable of providing this level of horrific behavior and service. Next time NH will be my choice or anything but Accor Group. You made a booking and then wanted to cancel this booking after the free cancellation period had passed. Our latest email is simply a request that the additional outstanding costs be paid.
We understand that the taxi fare might have been unexpected, and we recommend using public transport for a more cost-effective option. Regarding the air conditioning, we apologize for any discomfort you experienced during your stay.
But our hotel does not have an air condition except for one room and it is not populated on any homepage. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future improvements. This Hotel is fundamentally dishonest. It is miles from the Airport, or at least near an airport in another town than Dusseldorf. It is also no where near Duseldorf. The management should be arrested. It is a disgusting sham and Mercure should be ashamed of operating in a totally immoral, dishonest and bottom sucking scam.

There is nothing. You need a car to get there, and they then charge for parking. The hotel is not an architectural masterpiece to start with, and it desperately needs a facelift. Spots on the carpets, a bit of wall came out in my room, the shower rail in the bathroom came loose I am sure they clean it a lot, especially these days, but it just does not look nice. My first room had 6 or 7 dead flies by the window. I changed because "wifi did not work on the third floor".
So I moved to the second. Guess what, wifi did not work there either. So I moved to the ground floor, same result. The kind receptionist gave me a special password that only worked near his counter, so I could at least send the work I had prepared. Breakfast was nice I enjoyed that.
